Providence and Fortune
#17 ~ The Supernal vs Supernatural
It had become a family tradition for my brothers and I to play an annual hockey game against “the cousins”. I had taken hockey quite seriously as a boy culminating in my last year playing Midget AAA for the Edmonton Canadians. The cousins came to Edmonton for Christmas Celebration with our family on Boxing Day (now if you are from the region known as Canada, you will know that this is Dec. 26th, the day after Christmas Day), they were from a nearby small city Camrose, and stayed over so that we could play at the rented indoor arena the next morning at six AM. Renting an “indoor” arena was a pretty big deal. Up until this point, all of our annual family battles took place on real frozen outdoor rinks or lakes. So it was, this pretty ‘big deal’ that was on all of our minds as we wrapped up the Christmas festivities and headed to bed, so that we all might be ready for - the “big” game.
It was 1983, and Cynthia and I had been serious for just over a year, being all of 17 years, we ‘knew’ that we, each, had found “the One” in each other. I used to think that being mature for my years was normal or common, I now appreciate that when we, two 16 year olds promised ourselves to each other, it truly was for keeps. And so on this Boxing Day evening, when my 17 year old girlfriend was leaving our family festivities, only to rejoin us the next AM for the ‘big’ game, I awaited her call. Way back in 1983, cell phones were what was shown on the wrists of the cast of Star Trek, so we stuck to the wired telephone that always had a ‘connection’. The deal was that: when we left each other, Cynthia or myself, the One that was traveling, would call the other, as soon as we got home. So, on December 26th, 1983 at about 11pm, Cynthia left me, my family, and my cousins to head home, with the commitment to call me as soon as she arrived.
It normally took 15 to 20 minutes to navigate the journey from my family home in West Edmonton, to her family home in Riverbend. On this particular evening it was especially cold! Now I know that I have already bragged about the “real Canadian Winter” that produces frozen lakes, ponds, and outdoor rinks, to play hockey on anytime from late October to April, but on this particular evening it was REALLY COLD!! Approaching -40C which oddly aligns with 40 below Fahrenheit.
It was after 11:30 that the phone finally rang. I answered quickly, as my family was already in bed, and trepidatiously said, hello.? It was not the voice of my beloved. It was the voice of a stranger, telling me quickly, that my girlfriend Cynthia had asked her to call me to tell me that she was OK!?!? And that, she had had an accident, she was stuck in her car, the fire department, police, and ambulance were all on site, but when she, the stranger had left the scene, Cynthia, was still unable to be removed from her car!!!
So I put on my parka over my pajamas and headed to the site that the stranger had described, only five minutes from my home. I arrived to find flashing red lights, blue lights, yellow lights, and emergency vehicles EVERYWHERE! Many times since, I have watched the movie “SIGNS”, where Mel Gibson is arriving on the scene of his wife’s accident, and flashed back to that dark and cold midnight in 1983. Cynthia had forewarned the emergency crew that I would be arriving at some point, so when the emergency staff parted like the Red Sea before me, like Moses, I was not only surprised but felt a little bit important! I got to the crumpled car to see that my beloved was: not only alive, in one piece, but cracking jokes with anyone that was nearby! She was still ‘stuck’ in the car, which is hard to explain. A picture does say a thousand words.
Cynthia explains it like this: “as the car was spinning around backwards on the icy road, it felt as though there were two fingers, that came from behind me, as I saw the post coming directly towards me, that gently lifted me up by the armpits from the drivers seat and over to the middle of the car”. The car ended up wrapped around a light post. With the light post ending up almost in the middle of the car with all of the steel of the car body, folded around the post with Cynthia, inside the car, folded around the steel around the same post. The car had a bench front seat that bent in half upwards, in the middle, providing the other slice of bread to make a Cynthia sandwich. Her foot had caught under the gas pedal as she was being moved to the centre. When I looked at the car then, and now these photos, it truly seems unbelievable that the driver of that car was not squished and crushed if not killed. When she was finally disentangled from the car, the Paramedics lifted her onto a stretcher and off to the hospital we went. Upon examination, she was released with a bruised knee, some small glass cuts to her left forearm, and proceeded to walk out virtually unscathed.
We lost the hockey game that year ;-)
It was in the late 90’s and early 2000’s when skid steers were becoming more popular on acreages and farms. Prior to that time, small tractors were the primary working machine. The manufacturers of tractors saw an opportunity to overlap in this marketplace by mounting a “skid steer” quick attach on to the front end loaders on tractors. That way the multiplicity of attachments that fit on skid steers, or “bobcats” as they were first called, could also be used on their tractors.
We in fact have a 2003 Kubota tractor with one of these self same skid steer quick attach adapters. It was on November 16th, 2023, just the littlest bit shy of being exactly 40 years since 10 firefighters picked up the back of Cynthia’s car to manhandle it away from that light post, allowing the door to be pried open thus extricating my beloved; that I was also to be squished. Our Kubota tractor had developed a case of no charge. Which in mechanic speak means a bad alternator. The battery was not being charged by the faulty alternator, requiring it, the battery, to be charged by a plug in battery charger each night, almost like a Tesla. So until such time that I was able to replace the alternator; each evening, I would lift the front end loader up all the way, so that I could open the hood to get to the battery to hook it up and plug it in so that it would be ready for the next day.
So after a long day of fencing, and the cold night and darkness at hand, I once again headed with my little trusty tractor for the battery charger. My last chore of the day had been to haul water to the cows which I use the skid steer style pallet fork attachment to move my 250 gallon water tank with my tractor. As I got to the battery charger, I raised the front loader all the way up, about 10’ in the air, when I heard the sound of clanging steel. I have been around equipment all of my life, and although I could not see anything in the blackness, I instantly knew exactly what was happening. The pallet fork attachment, some 10’ up in the air, had detached and was sliding down the tractor loader arms headed straight for me in the driver’s seat. My particular pallet fork attachment weighs almost six hundred pounds. So as time slowed and I heard it making its way down to me, I prepared for the impact. It came to rest in my lap. And of course, my foot was on the hydrostatic foot pedal, which I call the “go pedal”, so with six hundred pounds of steel on my legs, my foot was pushed into the full speed ahead mode. Lurching forward, straight for where the cars were parked, with me unable to lift my foot off of the go pedal! So with strength I did not know I possessed, or perhaps a couple of fingers from above assisting, I/we lifted the fork attachment off of my legs, shifting it off the side of the tractor, off of me, off of the go pedal, and coming to rest impacting only one of our cars. This all happened in a fraction of a second.
I turned the tractor off, and looking down at my legs with the headlamp that I wear for working at night, I was afraid that my legs had been destroyed. I called for help, twice, Cynthia came running from the house into the blackness not knowing where I was. As she shouted for me to answer her, I was unable. She thought my last words would be “help, help!” Alas, my earbuds were still in, listening to I don’t remember who’s podcast, and I could not hear Cynthia’s desperate call. She found me, sitting in the tractor seat, wondering what on earth had happened. She knew immediately from my voice that this was dire. She ran to get her phone and told me don’t move, I’m calling for help. I once again looked down at my legs and after seeing no blood (compound fracture or laceration), I poked at my thighs. The pain was significant but not overwhelming. I rubbed my hands up and down and prodded once again. I then put a little weight on my feet and stood up. Nothing broken! I slowly dismounted from the tractor and walked cautiously into the house, to Cynthia’s dropped jaw and confusion at seeing me upright under my own locomotion. I took many doses of arnica and a couple of Aspirins and went to bed. A few more thousand words.
Through a little bit of investigation and measurement, it seems that although the Japanese are incredible manufacturers and engineers, they slipped up back in 2003. The “skid steer adapter” on my tractor was of the earliest versions for Kubota and it has a flaw, which is why Arlen and forks became so intimately acquainted. I have a simple remedy which I will apply to my tractor come spring.
So what of this collection of miracles?
Being a newly trained “young driver”, Cynthia always wore her seat belt, but not on that night, not wearing that belt likely saved her life. The belt would have prevented her “re-location” to the middle of the car.
So many tons of force were applied to all of that steel, that the whole car bent around the pole, like a banana. Yet my little lady, from inside all of that distorted and deformed metal, emerged smiling and completely intact!
Shaken, but not broken, attending the hockey game the next morning with a little limp.
No forks piercing Arlen’s chest, or any other such calamity.

Legs that endured the impact and load of that fork attachment, with only slight bruising and stiffness; for days not months.
These two graphic examples of miracles are but a shred of the action of the supernal in our lives. This happens every single day, to all of you and the rest of the world. It is often attempted to be described as “super-natural”, these things which we call miracles or acts of God. Or in the alternative, the actions and temptations of demons or Satan.

defined as - “creatures, forces, and events are believed by some people to exist or happen, although they are impossible according to scientific laws.” Collins online
And so we have come to define the actions of Angels, demons, God, or Satan as outside of the realm of reality, or nature. Now this is of course allowing for the definition of nature to be that which “science” describes and restricts as the “laws of nature”. This is not the same as Natural Law, which is God’s Law. See my post “When the Dog Bites”, where I cover some of the understandings of Natural Law. Nature, as it is described by science, does not include anything that is of a spiritual essence. This is of course related to the exclusion of a creator, being the origin of the Universe as we know it. “Science” betrays its own “Scientific Method”, where one is to observe the evidence and then make hypotheses, (plural) based on that observation. So when making a hypothesis on how Cynthia and I walked away practically undamaged from the examples above, and further how not wearing the safety belt was instrumental in that outcome, I believe, that science would only say that it was chance. Science can not include the action of the unseeable spirit acting in our dimension of reality. In fact, the cross platforms of science don’t even seem to be communicating with each other. Physics and metaphysics is “scientifically” proving the forces of unseen action and impact on the outcomes of experimentation, and yet, that provable unseen action and impact, is not allowed to be one of the hypotheses to refute, when it comes to creation and evolution. As in; we put forward all potential hypotheses, the scientific method, and then refute the ones which prove false. So if unseen forces can act over here, and we accept them as scientific fact, THEY cannot apply that to the origins of life?! It can only be evolution and all of its “spiritually absent” explanations.
The use of the term “Super - natural” makes a mockery of all spiritual force, it reinforces the lie, that science or “truth”, proves that there is no God. And that those who believe and have faith in that which science has disproven, are fanatical and dangerous.
If these spiritual forces are accepted as “super” - natural, then they are outside of and above nature, which further separates each such an One from his Creator. We live in nature and God is far away, in another realm, as we pray in the Lord’s Prayer, “Our Father which art in heaven …”. And so it is that we are separated from all that is spiritual and it has no relationship to our “real world”.
This is all mind control. The use of words and under - standing to limit One’s - self from the truth that spirits, both good and evil, are around us having impact on our “real” lives everyday.

1. being in or belonging to the heaven of divine beings; heavenly, celestial, or divine
2. lofty; of more than earthly or human excellence, powers, etc
3. being on high or in the sky or visible heavens. Collins online
This word, which is hardly used, I feel, far better connects the thought, the feeling, and the reality of; forces that we cannot see but are ever - present all around us. These forces in the physical sense, “lift by the armpits”, or attach a million invisible helium balloons to chunks of steel. Or in the less physical, the opening, softening, or changing of One’s heart, the feelings One holds toward another. Or the revelation of truth when ALL seem to be against and denying that truth. The action that comes about from prayer and intention in the unseen realms is supernal. Above and Below are part of our reality, call them Heaven and Hell, or the sky and inner earth, they are real and exist. A simple one that Cynthia reminds me of; magnetism. One can not see it, touch it, feel it directly (except for the few extremely sensitive), and yet the force that it applies and the very real physical effect it has on all kinds of things is undeniable. So what is so different between magnetism and: the unseen spiritual force that does indeed force/have an effect.
It is this separation that the mind control masters are seeking. The separation from the actual reality of the unseen impacts of God’s love for us, that is promised:
Matthew 18 verse 20 KJV: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
2 Corinthians 3 verse 17 KJV: Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Ephesians 3 verses 16 - 20 KJV: 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Standing down the whole Malibu police department, 20 officers from Montana Highway Patrol - Border Services - Kalispell Police Department extorting $500 cash from me at the side of the highway, every single court appearance, standing over my shoulder as I write any document or in fact these posts, and most obviously walking with me and leading me through each days work; the hand of God is unseen, but most incontrovertibly with me. This is the power of God which I mentioned in my last post about establishing a superior claim. I fail in my faith, to some degree, every day. I do not have 100% rock solid unwavering faith in my creator and redeemer every minute of everyday in every hardship. I am a man, and thus have weakness. I know with complete confidence that he is always with me, and yet I have moments of temptation and doubt. Even if in those moments of weakness, I have forgotten the truth and unfailing power of his love and that it is ever-present, I attempt to be faithful and I ask for his grace to uphold me in my failings. The miracles and the menaces that happen in our reality, without seeming explanation, are real. They are the supernal.
The title to this post is “Providence and Fortune”. To do with the unseen, Providence -"God's beneficent care, guardianship, or guidance". I use it here, with clear directive, as being of and from The Father. Fortune, on the other hand, "chance, luck as a force in human affairs", is happenstance or good luck, as in good fortune. The first is with intent and purpose, the latter is without guidance, intent, or purpose. I do not pray for good luck. The Father does not provide good luck, he provides “beneficent care, guardianship, (and) guidance”. And most especially if we ask for it, and if you can get together with another such and One or maybe even two or three, all the better.
We can rely on God to strengthen and preserve us, that we may endure whatever trespass we must stand against.
